ERgent Med was founded in 2014 by Dr.Michael Hamm and Jim Cutia, FNP-C. Originally it started just with one clinic in Brunswick, GA, and as they were able to provide excellent care for more and more patients, they discerned a need for another clinic located on Saint Simons Island. Since the beginning, the focus of ERgent Med has been our patients. Since that time, Jim has retired, but ERgent Med is still going strong and growing by the day!

Our providers, including physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners are dedicated to providing the highest quality of medical services that we can with fair and affordable pricing.

OUR TEAM

Dr. Michael Hamm, DO

Dr. Hamm graduated first in his class from medical school in 1997 from Oklahoma State in 1997. He completed residency in Emergency Medicine at University of Louisville in 2000 and has been a practicing Emergency Medicine Physician for 19 years. He served as Medical Director of the Emergency Department for Mayo Clinic of Waycross for 10 years and he has severed as Medical Director for numerous ambulance services and Medical helicopter services. Dr. Hamm started the first ERgent Med in 2014 in Brunswick and opened a second location on St. Simons in 2016. He loves spending his time off with his two sons, Pearson and Aaron.

Elizabeth Fletcher, PA-C & Clinical Coordinator

Elizabeth completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Georgia College & State University in 2005 and then graduated from The Medical College of Georgia as a Physician Assistant in 2008. She has worked in multiple fields including Hematology/ Oncology, Women’s Health, Family Practice, Geriatric Medicine, and Immediate Care. Elizabeth enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Erik and bird dog, Bigsby, in her free time. She is a musician and plays in a local band that you may see around town and also participates in the worship band at The Chapel. She loves art, painting, and design as well.

Gabe Crabb, FNP-C

Gabe obtained his Associate of Science in Nursing in 2014 from Concorde College in Jacksonville, FL, his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2016 from Grantham University Lenexa, Kansas, and his Master of Science in Nursing with post masters Nurse Practitioner in 2018 from South University in Savannah, GA. He was employed at Southeast Georgia Health Systems Brunswick Emergency Care Center as an ER nurse and eventually became one of the lead trauma nurses there after graduating from nursing school and until he obtained his Nurse Practitioner degree. He also was employed as a clinical instructor for the nursing department at College of Coastal Georgia during that time. Gabe started with Ergent Med as a nurse practitioner full time in 2018. He has a lovely wife, Courtney, and one beautiful little girl, Blythe. He spends his free time at the pool with his family, fishing, and hunting. He lives in the community that he serves and takes great pride in caring for those that he treats.

David Gill, PA-C

Dave earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Mercer University in 2010. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant degree in 2012. Dave was born and raised here in the Golden Isles where he attended Glynn Academy. His parents also grew up and currently live in Brunswick. He lives here with his beautiful wife, Candi, and three wonderful children, Carson, Dylan, and Saylor. They love everything about the Golden Isles and enjoy boating and taking in all that there is to do on the coast. He started his career working as a Firefighter Paramedic here in Glynn County. After school he began working in the emergency room and has continued to work in emergency medicine. His passion is helping others and hoping to make a positive difference in our community.

Mitch Dutka, PA-C

Mitch was born and raised in Brunswick, Georgia. He graduated high school from Glynn Academy, then from College of Coastal Georgia in 1994 with an Associate of Science in Nursing as a Registered Nurse. He practiced in SICU, MICU, CCU, and the acute care Hemodialysis unit as a nurse. Mitch returned back to school in 2000 and graduated from The Medical College of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2004. Mitch has spent the majority of his PA career working in Emergency Departments in Glynn, Camden, and Liberty counties. All of which are in Southeast Georgia. Mitch also spent time working at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center’s medical unit in Brunswick. He has worked the last few years practicing in urgent care and absolutely loves it.

Keshia White, Clerical Coordinator

Keshia White is the Clerical Coordinator at ERgent Med, overseeing and managing the clerical office staff and coordinating accounts receivable with our billing company. Keshia has been in the medical field for over 20 years and her ultimate goal is taking care of her patients first and foremost. She is always going above and beyond to make sure that her patients’ needs are met with the highest expectations. Keshia has been known to never meet a stranger- she always wants her patients to feel like they are her top priority, because they are.
